Little Forest Land Art was started in early 2017 by ceramicist Jan Griffiths and artist Adrian Mundy on land surrounding Jan’s studio in the Hampshire countryside, north of Fareham.
With our growing team of helpers we work directly in the landscape, keeping the site under control and creating spaces for other artists to make and display their work.
There’s brambles to control…
Lots of brambles…
Not always in good weather.
There’s also weeding…
and more brambles!
Cutting and burning the reed bed. Jan uses the ashes to colour her ceramics.

Having initially focused on the 3 acre wild meadow, we have now created a winding path in the woodland immediately surrounding it, where we display the work of our Land Art team and other invited artists.
We are also working on an area recently cleared of diseased trees, giving us a blank canvas.

The site used to be a pig farm and small holding. We find all sorts in the soil.
Digging up dock plants and other weeds…
… Some harder to get out than others.
We have a path.
